Gwangju Dementia Cohort Cohort
Building the evidence to overcome dementia — with data.
GARD builds a large-scale multi-omics cohort — integrating clinical, genomic, brain-imaging and biospecimen data — to study the early diagnosis and prevention of dementia.
What we do
One cohort, many layers.
Cohort building & operation
We follow a large community-based cohort over time to observe changes before and after dementia onset.
Multi-omics
Genomic, imaging & clinical, integrated.
Early diagnosis
Risk found pre-symptomatically.
Prevention & intervention
Building the evidence base for strategies that delay or prevent dementia.

Director's message
"We build the evidence to overcome dementia."
Dementia is no longer a challenge for individuals or single families alone. GARD follows participants from before symptoms appear and integrates clinical, genomic, brain-imaging and biospecimen data to build the evidence for early diagnosis and prevention.
